he food changing process normally begins
1 month after a teacup teddy bear is born.
(^.^did you guess it right?)
similar to human infants, it takes alot of time and patience
to raise a teacup poodle puppy into strong healthy adults.
diet is valued above all by far for teacup poodles in their early lives.
infant/youth/middle-age/elder teacup poodles require different nutrition
as well as ways of feeding in various stages of their lives.
Teacup Poodle Guideline 4: Food switching - what to do?
it's best to allow teacup poodle puppies 30 days or more
on their the food switching process,
(from milk replacements to solid foods),
and it's also better for their digestion system if
the whole process takes longer to accomplish.
first off, owners are suggested to purchase dry dog foods
suitable for young puppies, put a few into the blender
and blend it into powdery forms
(works just as normal milk replacement powders designed for puppies).
___?___ days after the teacup poodle puppy just stops
drinking from mother's milk, owner should attempt
mixing the powder with water until it appears to be liquidish;
in the next ___?___ days, owner should try cutting the dog food
into small chunks (instead of powders), soak it in water to soften
the foods and encourage teacup poodle puppies to eat on their own;
and finally, in the last ___?___ days, owners are adviced to
soften the dog food in water naturally, without blending or
chopping them into smaller pieces,
and if your teacup poodle puppy eats the food without hesitating,
well, CONGRATULATIONS!! it means your teacup poodle puppy
has entered his/her final stage of food-switching,
that is eating semi-solid or better, solid, food on their own.
DO NOT provide teacup poodle puppies with SOLID food
nor dog food in BIG CHUNKS
as soon as they stop drinking form the mother's milk.
go step by step on the changing process is the key to
healthy digestion system for the teacup poodle in the long run.
